Introduction
My main purpose is to find a new way of teaching physics that students really enjoy. If students don't enjoy learning, they are not going to be a lifelong learner. I am going to integrate what I have learned in the NLGL programme and make it into a whole new project.
To name just a few, in Dr. Beal's class Foundations Of Middle Years Education, I learned the importance of making students enjoy the classroom. In Dr. Pope's class, Teaching Literature for Young Adults, I studied the possibility of using YAL to teach science. In the Teacher leadership class, which is also taught by Dr. Pope, I learned how to take action to realize my dream. In Dr Jones's Method of Teaching Science class, the five E learning circle particularly interested me. I find this method particularly suitable for online teaching. From Dr. Hervey and Dr Spires' class, New Literacies & Media, I investigated how to use cool tools to facilitate education. In Dr. Ivvones' class, I did a project of incorporating global awareness in Physics class. Dr Young's Teaching Composition also benefits me greatly. Without the training in his class, I can't write so many pieces of this project. The influence for me in his class is far more reaching. It eradicated my deep-rooted prejudice toward writing. His class changed me most.
In 21st century, the technology is available for almost everyone. As a teacher, we should seize the opportunity and develop new ways of teaching. I will base my frame work on the concept of the flipped classroom. I personally think this method of teaching is very promising. There are many ways of making online videos and different teachers have different approaches to conducting classroom activities. In this Synthesis, I am going to find my own way of making online videos and conducting classroom activities.
